1.Anwendung (Instrumentenkabel):
BS 5308-Kabel sind für die Übertragung von Kommunikations- und Steuersignalen in einer Vielzahl von Installationstypen ausgelegt, einschließlich solcher, die in der petrochemischen Industrie zu finden sind. Die Signale können vom Analog-, Daten- oder Sprachtyp sein und von einer Vielzahl von Wandlern wie Druck-, Näherungs- und Mikrofonsignalen stammen. Teil 1 Kabel des Typs 3 sind im Allgemeinen dort ausgelegt, wo ein höheres Maß an mechanischem und chemischem Schutz oder eine direkte Erdverlegung in geeigneter Tiefe erforderlich ist. Innerhalb des Sortiments sind kollektiv und einzeln gesiebte Paare erhältlich. Für Installationen, bei denen Feuer, Rauchentwicklung und giftige Dämpfe ein potenzielles Risiko für Leben und Ausrüstung darstellen.
